Compensation Information

The basic premise within our compensation guide is that the accident or injury was the result of someone else’s negligence, which means

  • Something was done that created the accident or injury that a reasonable person would have been careful not to do.
  • Something was not done that resulted in accident or injury.

A personal injury claim for compensation will generally be defined by a lasting impact on your quality of life. This generally tends to mean injuries treated and documented by registered medical staff that did not heal within a few days. The maximum compensation awarded depends on injury severity and duration.
